Post-Construction Cleaning in Marbella

New build, full renovation, or a quick refresh before the summer lets? The dust is the part nobody warns you about. Plaster dust settles into every groove, paint splatter dries onto the window frames, and silicone residue from the bathroom fit-out clings to the tiles. We clear all of it so the property is ready to live in, photograph, or hand over to a buyer.

What a builders' clean actually covers

A proper post-construction clean is two passes, not one. Skip the first and you spend the second chasing dust that keeps resettling. We do both, in order.

The rough clean

This is the heavy lifting. We remove leftover building materials, sweep and vacuum the worst of the plaster dust, and wipe down every surface that has a film of grime on it. Skirting boards, door frames, light switches, the tops of cupboards. If the builders left adhesive tape or protective film behind, we take that off too.

The fine clean

Once the bulk is gone we go back over everything with a finer eye. Paint splatter off the glass and frames, silicone smears off the tiles, water marks off the taps and shower screens. Floors get a final wash, and the kitchen and bathrooms are left genuinely usable rather than just looking clean from the doorway.

Why Marbella renovations need a proper finish

Marbella never really stops building. Villas in Nueva Andalucía and Sierra Blanca are being refurbished year round, and the new-build plots up towards Benahavís keep the trades busy through every season. That constant churn means one thing: a lot of properties get handed over with the dust still in them.

It matters more here than it would elsewhere. The light on the Costa del Sol is unforgiving, and a thin film of plaster dust shows up on a dark floor or a marble worktop the moment the sun hits it. If you are selling, photographing, or letting the place, that film is the difference between a property that looks finished and one that looks rushed.

We also see a lot of holiday rentals that have had a quick refurb between seasons. A villa on the Golden Mile that closes for six weeks in January needs to be spotless before the first Easter guests arrive. We time the clean to the handover so the property is ready the day the keys change hands.

Where we work

Our post-construction teams cover the whole Marbella area, from San Pedro de Alcántara in the west through to the centre and east towards Elviria. We also take on larger projects in Estepona and the inland developments around Benahavís. If the property is a villa, an apartment, or a commercial unit, we can handle it.

Post-construction cleaning questions

How long after the builders finish should I book?As soon as the trades have left and the property is empty. The longer dust sits, the harder it is to shift, and it gets walked into carpets and grout. We can usually schedule within a few days. Do you remove leftover building materials? We clear light debris, packaging, tape and protective film. Large waste like offcuts, rubble or old fixtures is the builder's responsibility to remove before we arrive. Can you clean before the furniture arrives? That is the ideal order. An empty property is faster to clean properly, and you avoid dust settling on new furniture. We are happy to work around your delivery schedule. Do you handle paint and silicone removal?Yes, within reason. We remove paint splatter from glass, frames and floors, and clean silicone residue off tiles and fittings. Cured silicone that needs cutting out is a separate job we can quote for. Is a post-construction clean enough before I move in?For most properties, yes. If the build was very dusty or the property has been empty a while, we may recommend a follow-up deep clean a week or two later once any remaining dust has settled.
