Cleaning Services in Benahavís
Benahavís is the white village in the hills behind Marbella, famous for its restaurants and surrounded by some of the most expensive gated estates on the coast. Our team is up in the hills most days, from village houses to villas in La Zagaleta and the golf communities below.
A village of restaurants and gated estates
Benahavís is a small mountain village in the province of Málaga, about seven kilometres inland from the coast. It is known for its restaurants, which is why people call it the dining room of the Costa del Sol, and for the gated estates that spread out across the hills around it.
The village itself is compact, with narrow streets and whitewashed houses. The estates are a different world. La Zagaleta, El Madroñal, Los Arqueros, La Quinta, Monte Mayor and El Herrojo each have their own gates, their own security and their own rhythm. A clean here means arranging access in advance, and the bigger estate homes, with their five bedrooms, pool terraces and staff quarters, take a full team visit rather than the couple of hours a two-bed flat needs.
We are based in Marbella, at Plaza Santa Mónica, so the drive up into the hills is short. It means we can usually fit a short-notice clean in, or have a villa ready for guests arriving the same week. Benahavís has its own town hall, and the Costa del Sol tourism board is a good reference if you are new to the area.
Where we clean in Benahavís
We cover the village and the estates around it. The communities we work in most often include:
- Communities: Benahavís Pueblo, La Zagaleta, El Madroñal, Los Arqueros, La Quinta, Monte Mayor, El Herrojo, Los Flamingos (adjacent), Marbella Club Golf Resort
- Landmarks: Benahavís village (gastronomy), La Zagaleta (ultra-luxury gated estate), Los Arqueros Golf
If your estate is not on the list, ask anyway. The communities above are where we spend most of our time, but we regularly take on homes a little further up the valley when the schedule allows.
What a Benahavís clean involves
Benahavís is really two jobs in one. The village houses are compact, with narrow streets and limited parking, and a clean there is a focused, efficient visit. The estates are the opposite: La Zagaleta, El Madroñal, Los Arqueros, La Quinta, Monte Mayor and El Herrojo are large, gated and spread out, and the villas are big enough that we usually send a team of two.
For the estate homes, most clients book a regular domestic clean, weekly or fortnightly, and we arrange the access with the security desk in advance. For a villa that has been closed up, or one that has had a lot of guests through it, we start with a deep cleaning visit: cupboards, behind furniture, the oven, the fridge, the windows where we can reach them. Then the regular schedule keeps it at that standard.
Second homes and key holding
Most of the villas in the Benahavís estates are second homes, and the owners are often abroad. We hold keys for several clients here and keep the house on a routine between visits: airing the rooms, checking for leaks, making sure the security system is behaving and nothing has been left running. If something needs attention, we flag it before it becomes a repair bill. When you arrive, the house is clean, aired and ready. That is what our key holding and property checks service covers.
The villas up in the hills get a lot of glass, and the light here shows every mark. We clean windows as a standalone window cleaning service or as part of a regular visit, and we take our time with the big picture windows that look out over the coast.
