Window Cleaning in Marbella

Sea air is lovely to live beside and brutal on glass. Salt spray, hard water from the mains, and the fine dust that blows in off the coast all settle on your windows and bake on in the sun. We clean the glass, the frames and the sills, inside and out, so the view is actually a view again.

Window cleaning in Marbella

What we clean

Windows are more than the pane. We treat the whole unit so the result lasts longer than a day or two.

Glass, inside and out

We use a proper squeegee and clean microfibre cloths, not a spray bottle and a roll of kitchen towel. That is the difference between glass that looks clean and glass that is clean, with no streaks when the afternoon sun hits it.

Frames and sills

Aluminium frames collect a grey film of salt and dust, and white PVC frames show every mark. We wipe them down and clear the sills, including the corners where grime builds up and gets missed by a quick once-over.

Doors, mirrors and glass balustrades

Sliding terrace doors, bathroom mirrors, and the glass balustrades that are so common on Marbella terraces all get the same treatment. If it is glass and it is dirty, we clean it.

Why windows get so dirty here

It is not your imagination. Windows on the Costa del Sol need cleaning more often than they would back in the UK or northern Europe, and there are three reasons for it.

First, the salt. Properties near the sea, from Puerto Banús down to Elviria, get a fine salt film that dulls the glass and slowly eats at the frames if it is left. Second, the water. Marbella's mains water is hard, and every time a sprinkler or a hose catches a window, it leaves limescale spots that a normal wipe will not shift. Third, the dust. The dry months blow a constant fine dust off the land, and it settles on every horizontal surface, sills included.

For holiday rentals the problem is worse. A villa that sits empty for a month between guests comes back to a layer of grime on every pane, and the first thing a guest notices is a smeared window over a sea view. We do a full window clean as part of our holiday rental changeovers so the place photographs and shows as well as it should.

Where we work

We cover the whole Marbella area, from San Pedro de Alcántara and the Golden Mile through to Nueva Andalucía and out towards Estepona. Apartments, townhouses and villas are all fine. If you have a larger property or a community of several homes, we can quote for the whole block in one visit.

Window cleaning questions

How often should I have my windows cleaned?Near the sea, every four to six weeks keeps them looking right. Inland or on higher floors you can stretch it to every two or three months. We can set up a regular visit so you do not have to think about it. Do you clean windows on upper floors?Yes. We carry the right equipment for most two and three storey properties. For anything higher or harder to reach we will assess it first and tell you exactly what is possible before we start. Can you remove limescale and hard water spots? In most cases, yes. We use a descaling treatment on badly marked glass. Very heavy or etched limescale may need a specialist restoration, and we will be honest with you if that is the case. Do I need to be home for the clean? Not necessarily. Many of our clients give us access or a key, and we work while they are out. We are fully insured and happy to arrange whatever access works for you. Do you clean the frames and sills too?Yes, always. A clean pane with a dirty frame looks half done, so frames and sills are included as standard on every window clean.
