Sotogrande sits at the western end of the Costa del Sol, a gated resort in the San Roque municipality of Cádiz province. Golf, polo and a marina full of yachts set the tone. Our cleaners are out here most weeks, from marina apartments to villas that stand empty for months at a time.
A resort built around golf and polo
Sotogrande is not a town in the usual sense. It is a private residential resort that grew up around the Valderrama Golf Club, the course that hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup, and the Real Club de Polo. The result is a spread-out, low-rise landscape of villas, fairways and cork-oak hills, with the marina at its heart.
That layout changes how a clean works. Nothing here is on a single street. Homes are reached by car, gates are the norm, and a villa with a pool and a guest wing takes longer than a flat in the centre of Marbella. We plan the route and the time properly, which is why clients here tend to book us on a regular schedule rather than ad hoc.
We are based in Marbella, at Plaza Santa Mónica, so the drive out along the A-7 to Sotogrande is straightforward. That matters when a property has to be ready for owners flying in, or for guests arriving the same week.

What a Sotogrande clean involves
The homes in Sotogrande are spread out, and the cleaning is planned around that. Most clients book a regular domestic clean on a set day, and the larger villas get a two-person team. The route out from Marbella is part of the planning too: we group Sotogrande visits on the same days so the drive is worth it and the price stays sensible.
The villas here often have guest wings, pool houses and staff quarters, and a clean has to cover all of it or it is not done. We work through the house room by room, and for properties that have been closed up for months we do a deep cleaning visit first: inside cupboards, behind furniture, the oven, the fridge, the windows where we can reach them. Then the regular schedule keeps it that way.
Second homes and key holding
Sotogrande is a resort of second homes, and most of our clients here are not in residence most of the year. We hold keys for several properties and run a simple routine between visits: open the windows to air the rooms, check for leaks and damp, make sure the water and electrics are behaving, and report anything that needs attention before it becomes a problem. When the owners fly in, the house is clean, aired and ready to live in. That is the key holding and property checks service we run.
The marina apartments and the villas up in Sotogrande Alto both get a lot of glass, and the light here shows every mark. We clean windows as a standalone window cleaning service or as part of a regular visit, and we take our time with the big picture windows that face the Mediterranean.
