Cabopino is the small marina at the far eastern tip of Marbella, wrapped around the protected Dunas de Artola. Artola itself splits into Artola Alta, climbing the hillside with villas and sea views, and Artola Baja down by the port. It is a lifestyle and second-home area more than a residential one, and the short-let market around the marina is heavy.
One thing worth knowing: the beach and port of Cabopino belong to Marbella, while the rest of Calahonda next door is in Mijas. That is why the two names blur together in search.
Because so much of the housing here is let out, the work is dominated by changeovers, linen and getting a property guest-ready rather than long regular schedules.
